My Poems: The Start
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Assalamu Alaikum,
My client inspired me to write this poem. I do not like it, but it means a lot. Very poor poetic technique. Maybe one of my worst poems. I may take it off. Comments appreciated, I suppose.
The Start
—
No one ever said this would be easy,
I wish these words will not fall apart.
No one ever said this would be easy,
so to tell you this for me is so hard.
—
I was guessing the time of day,
maybe the weather or the words to say,
because nothing speaks so loud as my heart,
oh please, let us go back to the start.
—
Days like those never seemed to end,
time now can never mend,
the words, the thoughts or the wish of a friend,
I fear our start may come to end.
—
Come in the wind and haunt me,
Let me know if you love me,
Nothing can speak as loud as the heart,
oh please, let us go back to the start.

I *LOVE* the last stanza. It sent chills down my spine.
But the last line in the first one is a little off beat.

Why thank you. Actually, I will personally admit that my ability to write poems has been going down the drain. Partially because I am too lazy to fix them like I used to. Majority of the poems on my blog are first drafts.
I do not like this poem that much, but the last stanza, particularly the first two lines, I am not wording it right. I do not know if what I am trying to convey is coming out properly….

You must really treasure the friend you are writing this to.
I do not know if it is the best poem in terms of language, but it has a powerful undertone. I like how it is deep, but not necessarily romantic. Sick of sap poems, but this is actually meaningful. Good job faith786
